Student wellbeing

It's not unusual to experience nerves (and a lot of excitement) when starting something new and study life is no different. Talking to someone can provide relief from worry and energise you to keep going.

Our amazing counselling team offer no-cost appointments on the phone or on-campus, and they run free student wellbeing workshops such as mindfulness and resilience sessions. Join in!

Student Representative Council (SRC)

As a student, no one will understand your situation better than your own peers - other students. The Student Representative Council (SRC) is a group of current students that represent the student body when it comes to maintaining community and making decisions about your campus and learning environment.
Keen to get involved? They are always looking for new recruits to join the team!

Learning support

The Learning Support Team is here to make sure you can talk to someone about developing or improving your academic literacy.

Learning Support run workshops and individual sessions to help you with essay writing skills, understanding plagiarism and how to give an effective presentation (plus much, much more).

Blackboard support 

You will be using your Learning Portal (Blackboard) regularly to access subject material, chat with lecturers, post in forums and submit assignments. Your Learning Portal is an important tool and when things go wrong, you need to know who to contact.

IT support

Your IT service can help you with basic network issues such as connecting to the Wi-Fi or using the printing facilities while on-campus.

This team is not able to help with hardware or software related issues (sadly), so make sure you have an IT service you trust in your phone book.
