Once you've registered for On-campus Orientation, take one more important step

It's time to get ready for campus life which means you'll need student identification:

International Student Orientation

As an international student, you'll need to attend Orientation as part of your visa requirements.

You will join on-campus Orientation with all of your Aussie classmates to learn about your study environment and support teams. It's a fun and informative program and you'll learn a little bit about Australian culture at the same time!

Put the date in your diary now and don't miss it! We can't wait to meet you.

Don't forget to register!

You're invited to Virtual Orientation

Virtual Orientation is an online interactive broadcast that enables you to learn about student support and expectations in a fun and fast-paced environment. We are running a replay of the broadcast so that you can:

  • familiarise yourself with Blackboard

  • tour the student hub online

  • hear from Success Coaches

  • meet your library and academic skills team

While you're watching, our team will be online to answer your questions about study. You'll also have the opportunity to chat to other new students from across the nation in the community chat room.

Join our:
New student community in Blackboard

While your Virtual Orientation session will introduce you to your academic and support teams, our comprehensive New Student Community will help you further understand your online learning environment.

It is open to all new students but is especially useful for those who study remotely. You'll learn about:

  • creating a study space at home (or at the office, or at a friend's house!)

  • your IT requirements

  • Library and learning resources

  • the skills you already have (and how they'll help you to succeed)

  • support services just for you

  • plus more

And, you'll meet lots of other students in the online forum who are studying in your faculty.

But don't forget...

All online students are invited to attend an On-campus Orientation closest to them! Come along to meet your academic and student community, and get prepared for the road ahead. Get in touch with Student Services to discuss which campus will be best for you to visit.

Ps. If you’re going to attend (hooray!), you’ll need to register up above
