The Careers & Employability Team have been hard at work pooling together a number of resources for students to prepare for industry placements, internships and engaging with industry. The YOUR CAREER resource is available to ALL students and contains a number of valuable resources to get you started on your career journey including:

Careers & Employability Services

Through our Careers & Employability Services we provide workshops, portfolio review sessions,

events and talks in conjunction with leading employers to help you grow your network,

develop key skills and secure industry placements.

The Careers and Employability team is  here to support you from

enrollment right through to graduate employability.

We can assist you with:

  • Career advice, assistance and coaching
  • Resume writing and covering letter preparation
  • Creating, building and maintaining a professional social media profile
  • Job search advice
  • Graduate vacancies and graduate opportunities
  • Networking opportunities – on and off campus
  • Paid employment, voluntary work and internships

As a CATC or Billy Blue graduate you become part of our growing alumni community.

In the future CATC and Billy Blue graduates will also be able to access exclusive services, career support, network opportunities and more. We will post new developments here so check back later for more information.

2015 Success stories 

In 2015 we have had a talented handful of applicants forge strong collaborations and large in roads into their industry projects through the ‘595 Incubator’ program.
 
The projects have included: an innovative online interior design service, some heart felt photographic and design work with the Sudanese community as well as other emerging graphic design and photography businesses. Both Luke and Claudius (above) have been working hard on some high-end projects that they hope will soon launch their Communication Studio, ‘Thirty over Three’ into the world.

Who can apply?

All past and present CATC and Billy Blue College of Design students.


What's on offer?

  • Space 
    Use 595 design campus as your office/studio space.
  • Time 
    5 days a week, for 12 weeks (The students for the Trimester 1, 2016 incubator program have already been selected and contacted). 
  • Collaboration 
    Work in a space with other entrepreneurial minded people or impress your clients by having them visit you at a  Lt Collins St address.
  • Incubation for ideas 
    Have the head space to let your ideas come to life.
  • Mentorship 
    Draw on the multi-disciplined staff on hand on campus or bring in mentors from industry to work with you.

When can you apply?

At the end of each trimester you will be notified when you can apply for the coming trimesters incubator program. If you have any questions you can email: 595incubator@think.edu.au

Graduand Information 

Congratulations you on making it through your course. You will be notified via email when the details for the annual graduation are available.  

The Graduation will be held on the 28th of April 2016 at the Malthouse Theatre.
